Moisturizing/Foaming Hand Soap

Foaming soap used to be one of those things I would buy and stock up. I had every scent and every dispenser design, But one day, I noticed my hands were really dry and irritated. Once I stopped using it, the irrigation went away. Then I started looking for a simple solution.

This recipe itself is so simple enough that I have my children mix it up to refill the bottles. It takes just seconds to make. I keep the ingredients most of the time. So now never buy hand soap or worry about running out.

I had all these foaming bottles (or at least some) and so I wanted to put them to use. I had priced some of new dispensers online, only to find that they were way too pricy for me. So, making soap was a great way to use what I already had.

Ingredients
  • 8-ounces of Water (distilled so you aren't adding chemicals)

  • 1 Tablespoons Liquid Castille Soap

  • ½ tsp liquid oil like olive or almond

  • Essential oils of choice for scent (I get mine here at a discount)

Instructions
  1. Fill the soap dispenser to about 1 inch of the top (leave room for the soap and essential oils to be added).

  2. Add at least 2 tablespoons of liquid castille soap to the water mixture

  3. Add the oil and any essential oils.

  4. Close and lightly swish to mix.

  5. Use as you would any regular foaming soap.
