I used to buy tons of cleaning products! I mean, a lot. It was nothing to wake up in the morning, decide that it would be a cleaning day and run to the local dollar store, spending $50 or more. There was one day that I was getting ready for company, cleaned the house from top to bottom only to become very sick. The only things that I could pin it on was the number of products that I used.....with chemicals.

I looked into a number of alternatives for cleaning that would satisfy my cleaning product needs. I tried a number of things and ended up using Thieves Household Cleaner.

Currently, I use Thieves Cleaner for everything! I use in the bathroom, on the floor, in the kitchen and windows. I have also used in the laundry to help freshen things up a bit! Powered by our popular Thieves essential oil blend, Thieves Household Cleaner is perfect for having on hand to keep your house clean and free from harsh chemicals. This jack-of-all-trades comes in handy no matter the task, and we’ve got three new recipes to prove it!

Glass and Mirror Cleaner

Add all ingredients to a spray bottle and shake well to combine. To use, spray windows and glass surfaces liberally and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth.

Deep Cleaning Scrub

Combine Thieves Household Cleaner and enough baking soda to form a thick paste. Apply mixture with a clean cloth, sponge, or scrubbing brush and scour the surface thoroughly. Let sit for 15 minutes, and rinse everything clean.

Carpet Spot Cleaner

Mix water and Thieves Household Cleaner in a spray bottle, shaking to combine. To use, lightly spray the spot and blot with a clean white cloth. Repeat as needed.

Toilet Cleaner 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner

2–3 tablespoons baking soda

1 tablespoon of citric acid

Combine Thieves Household Cleaner and enough baking soda to form a thick paste. Add citric acid. Drop into toilet bowl-it will bubble. Let sit for 15 minutes, and use toilet brush and flush.

Laundry Freshner

Mix Thieves Household Cleaner and Lemongrass EO in a container, shaking to combine. Add to laundry. Wash as directed. **You can mix up this recipe into batches so that you don't have to mix each time you do laundry. Be sure to store in a glass or metal container. Here's the large batch recipe:

2/3 cup baking soda

Mix Thieves Household Cleaner and Lemongrass EO in a container, shaking to combine. Add to laundry.
