The Best Homemade Chia Latte

My favorite way to start the day is with a warm cup of chai tea. Here's a wonderful recipe of Chia Latte using essential oils that you might want to make for yourself or for a bunch of your favorite people. Be your own barista and recreate the coffee shop magic of a creamy, foamy, spicy chai latte at home.

Making chai lattes infused with essential oils is easy. You’ll need an tea cup with lid, toothpicks, tea pot, and stove.

The trick to keeping essential oils "good stuff" is to stir them in AFTER you have heated the water and let it cool. If you heat essential oils, the properties of the oils will change. So to keep the "good stuff," add after everything has been heated.

Chai Latte

Infused with Essential Oils

Ingredients:

2 bags black or rooibos tea

1/2 cup filtered water, Boiled

1/2 cup milk of your choice--Mine is coconut milk!

2 teaspoons honey

Dash of pure vanilla

Black Pepper essential oilPinch of ground allspice

Directions:

In a medium mug, brew tea in boiling water, 2-3 minutes. Remove bags. Tea will be very strong.

Pour milk of your choice into a container with lid. Screw lid on tightly, and shake vigorously for about 2 minutes. Remove lid and pour into sauce pan to warm. Warm on stove for 2-3 minutes and add tea. Remove from heat and add honey. Pour into mug. Reserve left over milk froth for later.

To spice your latte, insert toothpick info the drop reducer if each essential oil bottle, remove and swirl the end of toothpick . Be sure to use a new toothpick for each oil.

Top latte with left over froth. Sprinkle a pinch of all spice to top and enjoy!
